Gillian Mercado (Owner), Studied Esthetics at St.Clair College of Applied Arts & Technology. in 1986. She owned and managed a gym where she taught fitness classes and did personal training. After moving to B.C. She was a counter Manager and Color Team member for Lancome cosmetics in Langley, BC. After graduating from Blanche MacDonald, She worked as a Professional Makeup Artist on many feature films and tv shows for about 12 years throughout the greater Vancouver area and later taught Makeup Artistry classes at Cosmopolitan Makeup College. She was hired as Head of the Makeup Dept and Spa Coordinator for Spa Utopia, and took part in the opening of their first luxury spa in Langley, BC Gillian later accepted a position as the Spa Program Director at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy where she taught body wraps, hot stone massage, professional ethics and supervised the public clinic. It was there that she became intrigued by holistic wellness healing such as Ayurveda, Aromatherapy and Natural remedies. Gillian became a Health Coach for U Weight Loss and managed the Surrey clinic. She earned a diploma in Laser Technology and It has been her passion to merge her professional skills and experience into her business PURPLE MANGO Organic Skincare & Laser.
